Recently, Southeast Ohio Magazine spoke with Grandma Faye's Stephanie Rigsby, partner of the family-owned store.
SEO: How long has your family owned Grandma Faye's?
Stephanie: My family wanted a business of their own, so they bought it, along with the name, in 1986.
SEO: Why was Grandma Faye's established?
Stephanie: It was started as an ice cream shop and expanded to offer other grocery items over time.
SEO: Is there a real Grandma Faye?
Stephanie: Yes - she is the woman who opened up the store in 1980. She actually lives a few houses up from the store.
SEO: How has Grandma Faye's survived the recession?
Stephanie: Honestly, I don't know how, but it is convenient for tourists because we offer a wide variety of gifts.
SEO: What does Grandma Faye's offer to the Logan community?
Stephanie: Good food and friendly service. We make all our own deli sandwiches, pizza and fried foods. We also have a large selection of souvenirs and camping supplies.
